Meet the speaker

Carolyn Moor

Founder & CEO | Modern Widows Club® The Movement for Widow Care®

Carolyn Moor became a widow at 37, with two young daughters and a world that felt entirely unprepared to meet her where she was. What began as a personal journey of rebuilding became a mission to transform how society sees, treats, and supports widows everywhere. Carolyn founded Modern Widows Club in 2011, and since then has grown it into a nationally recognized organization and global movement — one that has reached tens of thousands of widows through community programs, advocacy, education, and peer support. She has spoken nationally, been featured in major media, and collaborated with nonprofit leaders, policymakers, and researchers across the nation to elevate widow care as a serious women’s health and social issue in building stronger family stability and the communities we live in. “ The strength of a society can be measured by how it treats its most vulnerable members. Widows deserve not just sympathy, but justice, equality, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity." - Carolyn Moor

About this webinar

This webinar is built around three core pillars — a declaration of rights, a body of evidence, and the human stories behind the data. Together, they form the foundation of The Movement for Widow Care International Widows Day Webinar. Carolyn's work is defined by a fundamental belief: that widowhood is not a personal failing or a private grief to be managed quietly — it is a social condition that demands a social response. She brings passion, authority, lived experience, and strategic vision to every conversation she leads.
